Volunteers needed for Washington County Board of Equalization

The Johnson City Board of Commissioners will be considering two appointments to the Washington County Board of Equalization. This board meets on an as-needed basis and is responsible for reviewing the tax assessment rolls hearing complaints and appeals of taxpayers within their jurisdiction. Each term is two years.

Applicants should be interested in community affairs and must be city residents. Applications are available at the Municipal and Safety Building, 601 E. Main St., and can be faxed or mailed by calling (423)434-6021. To complete an application online, please visit Applications will be accepted through March 30.
