Thank you for your interest in the Johnson City Police Department. Every day, the 149 sworn men and women of our Police Department provide law enforcement service to the citizens of Johnson City and to those who visit our community. Our 26 civilian employees serve the public in records, administrative, and support functions, as well. We have a dedicated, well-trained, and motivated workforce, and we are committed to partnering with the community to keep our city a safe and secure place to enjoy life.

In the pursuit of excellence, the Johnson City Police Department has maintained its accredited status through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies since 1993, meeting exacting standards established by this professional organization. Additionally, we received accredited status through the Tennessee Law Enforcement Accreditation Program in 2011. We look forward to continuing our quality service to the community through progressive programs, innovative technologies, and solid and dependable policing.We are here to serve you. The JCPD is located adjacent to City Hall,
in the Municipal and Safety Building. Police records is open Monday through Friday
from 6 a.m.-midnight. The public may
obtain reports or handle citations at this
location during business hours.
